  • Produce compelling enterprise stories that highlight issues, trends, and hold public officials accountable
  • Collaborate with The Banner’s engagement and data teams to engage the audience and distribute content across all platforms
  • Work in coordination with other Baltimore Banner editors, reporters, and staff to cover how business intersects with other topics
  • Think creatively about how to approach the beat and deliver stories in different digital formats

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in journalism, preferably with a history of covering companies.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to present complex topics in an understandable manner
  • Excellent news judgment and fact-checking skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Passion for news and content that resonates with readers
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as dictated by news demands
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management abilities
