Bloomberg climbs in biz news site rankings

Bloomberg’s website climbed two spots in the rankings of business news sites in July due to a 21 percent increase in unique visitors, while Fortune magazine dropped out of the top 10, according to the latest statistics from Comscore.

Bloomberg is now No. 6, with 27.8 million unique visitors in July, up from 22.9 million in June when it was ranked No. 8. It passed MSN Money and Fox Business, which both fell one spot.

Fortune, which was No. 9 in June, fell to No. 11 in July with a 25 percent decline in unique visitors to 15.4 million.

CNN Business, which in July was No. 11, rose two positions to N0. 9 in July with a 40 percent increase in unique visitors to 22.2 million.

Yahoo Finance remains the No. 1 business news site, with 99.7 million unique visitors in July, down 6 percent. No. 2 Forbes rose 6 percent to 67 million unique visitors in the month.
