Travel industry news site Skift has hired Selene Brophy to cover travel experiences, a new beat.

She has an extensive journalism background, including more than 10 years as the travel editor for Africa’s largest digital news platform, News24.

She also worked as a duty editor for the Independent Online.

Brophy holds a bachelor’s degree from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town.
