Reuters subsidiary launches cyber risk publication

The Insurer announced Friday the launch of Cyber Risk Insurer, a new publication for the cyber risk community.

Cyber Risk Insurer will provide coverage of the growing cyber (re)insurance market. Coverage will span risk management, retail and wholesale distribution, cyber insurtech managing general agents, major incumbent carriers, reinsurance and capital markets, breach coaches and incident response firms.

The new offering includes a monthly newsletter and website with news on demand and supply dynamics, pricing and loss trends, emerging risk threats, market penetration, potential government backstops for systemic cyber losses, and various other areas.

“Our goal is to serve as a platform for a rapidly growing segment, providing essential education to the broader P&C sector,” said Michael Loney, editor of Cyber Risk Insurer, in a statement. “Alongside a dedicated monthly newsletter, Cyber Risk Insurer will function as a community for market participants, offering a platform for relevant companies to communicate with clients, counterparts, and peers.”

The Insurer, as part of World Business Media Limited, was acquired by Reuters in January 2024. The business operates as part of Reuters Professional, the definitive destination for global intelligence that powers smart decision making.
